2:6. तुम्हाला हे सांगायचे कारण तुम्ही तुमच्या लोकांपासून दूर गेलात. तुमचे लोक पूर्वेकडील चुकीच्या कल्पनांनी भारावून गेले आहेत. पलिष्ट्यांप्रमाणे ते भविष्य सांगण्याचा प्रयत्न करत आहेत. त्यांनी परकीयांच्या कल्पनांचा स्वीकार केला आहे.

2:6. Indeed, O LORD, you have abandoned your people, the descendants of Jacob. For diviners from the east are everywhere; they consult omen readers like the Philistines do. Plenty of foreigners are around.

2:6. For the LORD has rejected his people, the descendants of Jacob, because they have filled their land with practices from the East and with sorcerers, as the Philistines do. They have made alliances with pagans.

2:6. For thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they are filled with customs from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they strike hands with the children of foreigners.

2:6. For you have rejected your people, the house of Jacob, because they are full of things from the east and of fortunetellers like the Philistines, and they strike hands with the children of foreigners.

2:6. Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and [are] soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

2:6. For thou hast rejected thy people, the house of Jacob, because they are full of diviners from the east and of soothsayers like the Philistines, and they strike hands with foreigners.

2:6. For thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be filled {cf15i with customs} from the east, and {cf15i are} soothsayers like the Philistines, and they strike hands with the children of strangers.

2:6. For Thou hast left Thy people, the house of Jacob. For they have been filled from the east, And [are] sorcerers like the Philistines, And with the children of strangers strike hands.

2:6. Family of Jacob, you have abandoned your people. This is clear because they have been filled with bad influences from the East, and now your people try to tell the future like the Philistines. They have completely accepted those strange ideas.

2:6. For you have forsaken your people, the house of Jacob, Because they are filled from the east, With those who practice divination like the Philistines, And they clasp hands with the children of foreigners.
