40:22. परमेश्वरच खरा देव आहे तो पृथ्वीगोलावर स्थानापन्न होतो. त्याच्या तुलनेत लोक म्हणजे नाकतोडे आहेत. त्याने कापडाच्या गुंडाळीप्रमाणे आकाश उलगडून उघडले. आकाशाखाली बसण्यासाठी त्याने ते तंबूच्या कनातीप्रमाणे ताणले.

40:22. He is the one who sits on the earth's horizon; its inhabitants are like grasshoppers before him. He is the one who stretches out the sky like a thin curtain, and spreads it out like a pitched tent.

40:22. God sits above the circle of the earth. The people below seem like grasshoppers to him! He spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them.

40:22. It is he that sitteth above the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in;

40:22. It is the Lord who sits above the circle of the earth. And compared to him, people are like grasshoppers. He rolled open the skies like a piece of cloth. He stretched out the skies like a tent to sit under.
