44:9. काही लोक मूर्ती करतात. (म्हणजेच खोटे देव करतात.) पण त्यांचा काही उपयोग नाही. लोक त्या मूर्तीवर प्रेम करतात पण त्यांना काही किंमत नाही. हे लोक त्या मूर्तीचे साक्षीदार आहेत पण ते काही पाहू शकत नाहीत. ते काही जाणत नाहीत. आपल्या कृत्यांबद्दल लज्जित व्हावे एवढेही ज्ञान त्यांना नाही.

44:9. All who form idols are nothing; the things in which they delight are worthless. Their witnesses cannot see; they recognize nothing, so they are put to shame.
