9:18. कुकर्म हे ठिणगीसारखे असते. प्रथम, ते तण व काटेकुटे जाळते. नंतर रानातील झाडेझुडपे पेट घेतात आणि शेवटी त्याचा वणवा होऊन सगळेच त्याचे भक्ष्य होते.

9:18. For evil burned like a fire, it consumed thorns and briers; it burned up the thickets of the forest, and they went up in smoke.

9:18. This wickedness is like a brushfire. It burns not only briers and thorns but also sets the forests ablaze. Its burning sends up clouds of smoke.

9:18. For wickedness burneth as the fire; it devoureth the briers and thorns; yea, it kindleth in the thickets of the forest, and they roll upward in a column of smoke.
